Academic Renal Pathologist
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a full-time academic position in the Renal Pathology Section. Candidates must be board-certified/board eligible and qualified for an unrestricted California medical license. The successful candidate will join a talented group of five renal pathologists supporting the clinical and academic missions of one of the largest quaternary care hospitals in the United States. Candidates with secondary interest in another pathology subspecialty are also welcome to apply.
The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Renal Pathology Section receives over 3500 adult and pediatric native and transplant renal biopsies annually from the Medical Center and surrounding communities. The Cedars-Sinai kidney transplant program is one of the most active and highly ranked in the country. All faculty participate in resident, student and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational or clinical research. Collaborations involve academic and community nephrologists both locally and internationally. Research is supported by department, medical center and federal research grants.
Cedars-Sinai is an 886 bed medical care facility located at the junction of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and is the largest private not-for-profit provider of health care on the West Coast, serving more than 9 million people in Los Angeles County. The Department of Pathology includes 48 clinical and 10 research faculty members, a residency program and 8 clinical fellowships. Clinical faculty are employed by Beverly Pathology, an independently contracted pathology group under the Cedars-Sinai Medical Foundation providing exclusive pathology services to the Medical Center.
