Academic Renal Pathologist
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a full-time academic position in the Renal Pathology Division to join our group of five renal pathologists supporting the clinical and academic missions of one of the largest quaternary care hospitals in the United States. The Renal Pathology Division receives over 3700 adult and pediatric native (75-80%) and transplant (20-25%) renal biopsies annually from the Medical Center and surrounding communities. The Cedars-Sinai kidney transplant program is one of the most active and highly ranked in the country. All faculty participate in resident, student, and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational or clinical research. Collaborations involve academic and community nephrologists both locally and internationally. Research is supported by the department, medical center, and federal research grants.
Cedars-Sinai is an 886-bed medical care facility located at the junction of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and is the largest private not-for-profit provider of health care on the West Coast, The Department of Pathology includes 48 clinical and 10 research faculty members, a residency program, and 8 clinical fellowships, including a renal pathology fellowship. Clinical faculty are employed by Beverly Pathology, an independently contracted pathology group under the Cedars-Sinai Medical Foundation providing exclusive pathology services to the Medical Center.
Candidates must be board-certified/board eligible and qualified for an unrestricted California medical license Current fellows and experienced renal pathologists are welcome to apply (all ranks), and all faculty hold academic appointments in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program.
